Take your lump of clay and pat it into a sphere.

Pop your thumb into the centre of your ball of clay, and push 3/4 of the way down.

Squeeze (pinch) the clay between your thumb and fingers while turning your balls of clay round to squeeze the whole way round the pot evenly.

To draw the walls upwards, drag the clay in an upwards motion between thumb and fingers.
