Service Description

A free weekly creative workshop for young people in Hereforshire. Come and join our team of award-winning makers and artists in our beautiful, well-equipped studio space in Hereford. You can explore your creativity through clay, drawing, painting, or simply enjoy the company of open-minded, creative people. Each term covers a different project, inspired by artists (Picasso and Courtney Mattison covered so far, next term will be Van Gogh and Lucy Baxendale). Your junior potters will learn different handbuilding and surface decoration techniques to make either make their own work, or contribute to an ongoing communal piece of work. Each project will progress through design skills, prototyping work and designs, and the production of a final piece of work to take home. If you're between the ages of 11 & 16 and this sounds like something that you'd like to be part of, then get in touch! As well as being highly skilled artists, our tutors are also experienced youth workshop leaders. These sessions are open to all, so please getin touch if you have any access questions or requirements. These sessions are for children aged 11+ Each session will be free creating with the support of two teachers, with projects and themes lined up for those that need a little inspiration! DATE AND TIME: Term-time, Mondays, 430-6pm These sessions are FREE for all to attend, however we ask that you can book ahead so that we can estimate numbers. We ask that if you have booked a session that you will no longer be able to attend, please cancel as this will allow us to open this space to another child who could benefit from the activities on offer.
