technicians ASSISTANT
We are proud to announce our first graduate technicians assistant time exchange!
This time exchange position is aimed at recent graduates (class of 23 or 24) who wish to learn the skills required to run their own workshop or work within a community studio space.

Over the course of the 12 months we will cover the following and more:

Essential workshop health & safety
-
Clay reclaiming, wedging in bulk

Glaze and slip technology
-
Kiln packing, maintenance, and repair

Equipment maintenance and repair
-
Electric and raku firing
-
Studio processes

You will be taught by our two technicians, Lucy and Amy, and will have the opportunity to learn from our community of over 10 time exchange staff and 60 studio members.
While completing your time exchange hours, you will have the additional opportunity to shadow our teachers while they lead a range of classes and courses.
You will also have access to use the studio space independently as a member.

This would be a 12 month commitment beginning in August 2024, and finishing in August 2025.
